PETITION – U.S. out of the UN

Enough is enough!

Now is the time for the U.S. government to make a policy change when it comes to UN funding.

America is nearly $34 trillion in debt, so we must have a robust national debate about how taxpayer dollars are being spent across the board.

Important questions such as “why does the U.S. continue to fund the UN at such high levels and why are we not seriously rethinking our relationship with the organization” must be asked.

In Broken Promises, Citizens United’s 2005 documentary about the United Nations, we declared:

“For decades there has been talk of UN reform. But on its 60th anniversary, there seems to be consensus that the UN must reform or face irrelevancy.”

Now 18 years later, not only has the UN not reformed, it’s gotten far worse.

So, why is the U.S. government funding organizations and initiatives that American citizens are fundamentally opposed to?

In the wake of the barbaric Hamas terrorist attacks in Israel that killed 1,400 innocent people on October 7th, the question of whether the United States should continue funding the United Nations should be a foregone conclusion.

The UN’s response to the brutal attack on Israel was utterly shameful.

The UN couldn’t even pass a resolution condemning Hamas.

The UN’s failure to see the difference between good and evil is reason enough for America to stop funding the United Nations once and for all.

The moral equivalency on display at the UN is despicable.

Hamas is an Iranian-funded terrorist organization that kills women and children and takes hostages to help achieve its objectives.

Israel is a democracy that wants to live in peace.

The United Nations is hopelessly biased against Israel.

And the fact that Iran is chairing a UN Human Rights Social Forum should tell us all we need to know about the mindset at the UN.

The truth is that the UN no longer shares our values and is incapable of calling out evil in plain sight.

Furthermore, with Putin’s Russia and Xi’s China installed as two of the five permanent members of the UN Security Council, it’s simply impossible for the UN to live up to its founding ideals.

So, the United States should redirect its UN funding to help Israel in their time of need.

It’s our time for choosing.  Sign the petition today!
